What is Simpl-Live?
Simpl-Live is the journey of data initiatives towards Simpl-Open adoption.
Each data initiative follows the Simpl-Live journey throughout two key phases:
Feasibility Study to assess how to integrate Simpl-Open into the selected data initiative.
Integration of Simpl-Open into the data initiative following what was defined in the Feasibility Study.
Simpl-Live focusses on deploying and integrating Simpl-Open into real-world, sector-specific data initiatives across Europe. It transforms the potential of Simpl-Open into operational value by working directly with data initiatives to define integration scenarios, assess feasibility, and guide implementation. Simpl-Live is a two-phase journey, each one shaping the Simpl-Open roadmap:
Phase 1
Feasibility Study
Through feasibility studies, Simpl-Live helps selected data initiatives evaluate how Simpl-Open can meet their specific needs and requirements.
Phase 2
Implementation
For each selected data initiative, Simpl-Live defines tailored integration scenarios and roadmaps, ensuring a smooth and strategic deployment of Simpl-Open.
Contributing to Simpl-Open
As a result, and by working closely with data initiatives, Simpl-Live gathers common requirements and insights to be considered for Simpl-Open development.
Phase 1 Feasibility Study
Through feasibility studies, Simpl-Live helps selected data initiatives evaluate how Simpl-Open can meet their specific needs and requirements.
Simpl-Live Feasibility Study Steps
Collect
Collect specifications of the data initiaitve, and specify the assessment criteria for the Feasibility Study.
Assess
Assess the data initiative specifications and operating model, considering the current status and future vision.
Map
Map the requirements of both data initiative and Simpl-Open for comparison.
Conclude
Conclude and consolidate the findings, including the main assessment of the data initiative state-of-play and fit-gap analysis.
Define
Define the data initiative's Simpl-Open integration strategy and the roadmap for its implementation.
Phase 2 Implementation
For each selected data initiative, Simpl-Live defines tailored integration scenarios and roadmaps, ensuring a smooth and strategic deployment of Simpl-Open.
Simpl-Live Implementation Steps
Revision
Update integration scenarios and requirement list from the feasibility studies to align with the current maturity of the data spaces and initiatives.
Technical validation
Validate technical integration, develop and test key functionalities, address core challenges and define the final solution.
Acceptance
Deliver fully implemented business processes, with confirmed functional behaviour, consistent user experience, and design fit, demonstrating readiness for operational use.
Operational deployment
Deliver a stable, secure, and optimised implementation supporting actual business operations.
Maintenance
Monitor operational stability and improvement of Simpl-Live components while equipping the data space technical teams for independent management.

In 2025, Simpl-Live feasibility studies are expanding with five additional initiatives, facing a shared challenge: reducing their carbon footprint through the optimisation of resources and sector‑specific activities.
