Gdynia available and Hamburg preparations underway
The Simpl programme continues to advance the development of Simpl-Open. Since the previous release update, the Gdynia release has been made available, delivering a range of capabilities originally planned under the Q2 roadmap. The full list of Gdynia roadmap items. Alongside the availability of Gdynia, the Simpl programme has refined and updated the release planning for upcoming roadmap items. The roadmap information on the website will be updated soon to reflect the capabilities delivered through Gdynia and the functionality currently targeted for the next release cycles.
Development efforts are now focused on the Hamburg release, planned for October 2026. Hamburg will combine additional platform capabilities as part of the roadmap for Q3 2026, with a range of improvements aimed at making Simpl-Open easier to deploy, operate and adopt. These include enhanced installation guidance, updated user documentation, and further improvements resulting from validation and testing activities carried out following the Gdynia release. What to expect from Hamburg
The Hamburg release is currently planned for October 2026 and represents the next step in the operationalisation of Simpl-Open. In addition to new functional capabilities, Hamburg is expected to provide a more complete release package, including updated deployment guidance, user documentation and quality improvements identified during release-readiness activities.
Hamburg is expected to strengthen several key areas of the platform, including monitoring and observability, application lifecycle management, federation between data spaces, and trust and identity services. These enhancements will further support interoperability, operational reliability and trusted collaboration across participating data spaces.
Looking ahead
The Simpl community continues to play an important role in shaping the evolution of Simpl-Open. Further updates will be shared as development progresses towards the Hamburg release.
In addition, preparations are underway for the annual Simpl community event, which will take place on the 10th of December 2026. Registration information will be announced through the Simpl Programme website and community channels soon.
