Welcome to the Simpl Annual Event Series, a series of news pieces that will focus on each of the Simpl Annual Community events. This first piece will provide insights into the upcoming first edition of the annual community event, including the agenda, practical information, and registration process.

The annual event will provide an overview of Simpl's developments over the past year and offer forward-looking perspectives until the next event. These annual events also serve as a chance to receive direct feedback from the community on milestones and future directions.

Simpl’s First Annual Event 

As we mark one year since the launch of the programme, the first annual community event is an opportunity to understand the progress of Simpl in this first year, participate in workshops to dive into Simpl-Open architecture, explore business opportunities in the European data spaces, and learn more about data sharing in Europe.

Key topics to be presented include:

• Showcasing Simpl-Open Minimum Viable Product: A look at the latest progress in Simpl-Open, featuring a demo of the Simpl-Open Minimum Viable Product (MVP), key features, and setting expectations for future developments.
• Simpl-Labs Proof of Concept: Testing Development and Interoperability: Key outcomes of the Simpl-Labs Feasibility Study, including the Proof of Concept (PoC) demo, and an overview of future milestones and opportunities for feedback.
• Simpl-Live: Supporting Data Spaces with Simpl: Key findings from the EU data spaces feasibility study, highlighting differences, commonalities, implementation stages, and potential adoption strategies.
• Simpl: Enabling the Data Space Ecosystem: State of play of EU data strategy and key implications behind the new European Commission mandate and an introduction to the Simpl programme, products, and high-level roadmap.

Practical Information 

The First Annual Community Event will take place on Thursday, 30 January 2025, at Autoworld in Brussels, accommodating up to 200 in-person attendees. For those unable to attend in person, all sessions will be streamed live, with opportunities for online participants to engage actively.
