This introduces the foundations of European data spaces, highlighting open‑source middleware that supports cloud‑to‑edge federations, interoperability, security, and data sovereignty. It explains the role of legislation, architecture principles, and Simpl‑Open’s unique value; enabling trusted sharing, flexible configuration, and sector‑specific deployments through Simpl‑Open, Simpl‑Labs and Simpl‑Live.

The demonstration videos highlight onboarding, credential management, asset publication, catalogue search, asset consumption and infrastructure provisioning. The videos also touch upon Simpl‑Open’s reusable building blocks, e.g. cloud environments, deployment scripts, VM templates and standardised configuration.

Simpl-Live for data spaces and the European Public Sector Cloud Federation.
EuroCloud explores how Simpl‑Open can underpin a future European Public Sector Cloud Federation, enabling Member States to share and interconnect existing capacities. Through three proofs of concept (containerised environments, disaster recovery, and data‑science workbenches) the study validates feasibility and informs the architecture, requirements, and roadmap.
