1.6.1 - Calculation of Quality Score
Description
The dataspace governance authority shall be able to define/initiate the implementation of the algorithms that calculates the quality score using the information from the recommended rules. For instance, define a weighted rating for each quality metric/dimension and a scale that maps the resulting score to predefined categories, e.g. excellent, good, sufficient.
For instance, a dataset is onboarded and
- It contains 3 out of 6 of the recommended fields. 3*5 = 15 Points
- The location is a valid URL. 1*5 = 5 Points
- 4 Keywords are set for the self-description. 10 Points
- The type of data and the format of the distribution are common formats. 2*5 = 10 Points
In total the score is 40 out of possible 60 points. Because the threshold is set to 30 points to be onboarding the self-description is accepted with a quality rating of sufficient.
